The TCF is an official French language level test, intended for non-Francophones who wish, for professional, personal or academic reasons, to have their knowledge in French easily and reliably assessed and validated.

No academic qualification or preparation is required to sit for the test.

All TCF (Test de connaissance du français) candidates receive a certificate which places them at one of the 6 levels (from A1 to C2) Levels and programmes of the competency scale defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFRL). It is valid for two years.



Whether for a personal, university or professional project, this test is a real linguistic snapshot of your level of French.


TCF Québec

Designed to meet the requirements of the Quebec authorities, this test is one of the elements to be presented in your file to obtain a permanent visa.



Designed for nationality applications to the French state, you will have to prove a B1 level in all four parts of the test in order to be admitted to the exam.



Designed for applications for a resident card in France, you will have to prove an A2 level in all four parts of the test in order to be admitted to the exam.
